Anne Thurston, Shelby County Assessor is announcing the rules for submitting Personal Property Forms effective immediately.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my office will only accept personal property filings by mail, email, telephone or by appointment only. If you have had no changes from last year, the easiest way to file is over the phone.

This is for their good and safety. And for my office staff also. We are trying to abide by the Presidents orders to keep distance. This virus is extremely contagious and a major threat to certain group of people.

Keep in mind the Business and Farm Personal Property Forms are due either in the office or postmarked by May 15th. Forms may be obtained online at www.in.gov/dlgf/4971.htm or by emailing sduerstock@co.shelby.in.us. You may also call 317-392-6305 to have the forms mailed to you.
